How to delete current line and leave cursor in place ?

#1 How to delete current line and leave cursor in place ?

Posted by: Gorlash | Date: 2016-10-03 00:51 | IP: IP Logged

I asked this once, long ago, but cannot find the answer among my posts...
The Brief editor had a command to "delete current line", which was assigned to Grey- key. It would delete the current line, leaving the cursor right where it was.

I asked about this function for PsPad, long ago, and was given some solution to it, but can't find the topic in my search, and can't figure it out from the editor-settings options.

I know I can use "Shift-Down-Arrow" and "Delete", but it was handy to do such a common operation with one keystroke. Can anyone cue me in to what the solution was for this?? I would be *very* grateful!! and this time, I'll add it to my pspad notes...

This functionality is easy to do with PSPad scripting with 2 commands.
You can assign shortcut to your script.

Or record macro:
Ctrl+F5
Shift+Down
Del
Ctrl+F5, Enter

Now you can call your recorded macro with F5 key

Okay, I found the option that I was looking for, by looking back at an old pre-reinstall version of the program...

Delete Line at cursor

Program settings / KeyMap : Edit
Cut - Ctrl-X

Hahaha. I didn't think you want standard delete line function.
