Hi,

Is the 'Mouse Wheel scroll Lines' option working? I have it set to 2, but my documents scroll 4 lines and my log window scrolls 10 lines.

Thanks,
Mat

It depends of how much scroll comand is send from mouse driver after one scroll wheel click.

Can somebody confirm MATs behaviour ?

I tried it on a different machine and with a different mouse and it was the same behaviour. Whatever value 'Mouse Wheel scroll Lines' is set to, the document scrolls twice that setting and the log window scrolls five times that setting.

Can someone else try this please? smiling smiley

PSPad 2022, documents window, W2k SP3, simple DELL mouse, standard win driver:

set '2' Lines ---- will scrolls 4 lines
set '4' Lines ---- will scrolls 8 lines
set '10' Lines ---- will scrolls 20 lines

(BTW: would be nice to have an 'special setting' like "remember Settings-hive"
to have the same 'tab' as opened the settings-window the last time. (understand ???)
Will helps a lot for such testing issues, thanks)

Thanks for testing Stefan! If you have the time, does your log window scroll 5 x the amount it is set to?

I'm using 2021, Win XP Home SP 2 and a Packard Bell optical mouse.

Build 2023 / 2.66 GHz Dell Laptop / WinXP Pro SP2 / Logitech Optical Mouse

Mouse Wheel Scroll set to "2".

Editor - Scrolls 4 lines
Log - Scrolls 10 lines
Search Results - Scrolls 1 line
Search in Files Results - Scrolls 1 line
FTP - Untested

Build 2023 / 3.0 GHz P4 Desktop / WinXP Pro SP2 / Microsoft Optical Mouse

Mouse Wheel Scroll set to "2"

Editor - Scrolls 4 lines
Log - Scrolls 10 lines
Search Results - Scrolls 3 lines
Search in Files Results - Scrolls 3 lines
FTP - Untested

Something seems a bit inconsistent...

OK. It looks like LOG is 2 more tims scroled than Editor window.
This settings sets how many lines is scroled for one impulse from wheel. I can't change, if mouse sends 2 impulse per one wheel click.

standard Windows component, I have no influences. Lines are set in Mouse driver settings

Sorry, i didnt found the right (english) words.

In the past i would say, "the TAB in Settings window",
how can i this time describe those entrys in the settings window ?

I mean

if i open "Program Settings / Files " for example
and close the settings windows
and than open the settings window again,
iam in the "Program Settings / laguage tab"
instead of "Program Settings / Files "

But it would be nice to have the same "tab" as bevor.

Maybe its not important for all users but for testers,
so i wanna suggest an new [special settings] entry tongue sticking out smiley

RememberSettingsTab=

less prio pls
THX

----------

@Mat

I have no Log
But in SearchResult window i scroll 5 lines by setting 2 or 10 lines
But for me its no really matter, thought.
